Joël de Bruijn
Joël has completed his English-taught Master’s degree in International and European Trade and Investment Law at the University of Amsterdam in 2018. Before his masters, Joel obtained bachelor’s degrees in Dutch law, also at the University of Amsterdam and Economics and business economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Joël also lived in New York for seven months. There he interned at the economic department of the Dutch Consulate General. As an intern, he was partly responsible for advising startup companies that wanted to expand to the Northeast of the United States of America.
In New York he first noticed that he was fascinated by the multitude of legal challenges faced by the entrepreneurs. Because of that fascination, he decided to focus on a career in the legal profession upon his return to the Netherlands.
Joël is keen to make the complex aspects of the law understandable for the entrepreneurial person. He is passionate about learning and always hungry for new knowledge and experiences. He also follows the news closely and likes to travel to distant countries.
